This weeks subject here at project educate is 'Street Art'. Street art has many categories here on deviantArt and I hope to introduce more people to even the basics of each. Whilst also going a little more in depth to the culture and lifestyle of the street artists.
There are many topics to cover from;
Language of the streets,Motivation behind the art,
Issues surrounding the legality of street art,
Techniques used to create such vibrant and stylized art-forms,
History of art on walls,
To the misappropriation of graffiti culture for the purposes of advertising.
Over the course of this week will also be several interviews from talented and prominent members of the deviantArt Street Art community.
Of course one of the biggest aspects of street art is having a try yourself and getting stuck in, many of the great artists started by picking up a pen and scribbling away
So therefore I will be running a competition ('battle'), a nice simple one;
Simply produce a piece of artwork in 'Graffiti style' using the words project educate.
The prizes are as follows;

3rd Prize 1 month Premium Membership.

Entries MUST be NEW - this means created on or after 10th September 2012
One entry per person.
Submissions must be categorized in the Traditional Art -> Street Art. Anything else will be declined.
